SmithIron Earthworks Ltd. is a family owned and operated company.

In 1979, Ron Smith started RTS Enterprises which quickly grew into Ron Smith Cat Services Ltd. in 1985.  In 2012, son Brent Smith joined the company, and the company was re-branded as SmithIron Earthworks Ltd.  Throughout the years, our dedication to reliable, safe service has remained our hallmark.

Our shop and staff are based out of Spruce View, Alberta.  All operators carry valid First Aid, WHIMIS, H2S, and Ground Disturbance Level III certificates. We promote industry approved courses such as P.I.T.S. Environment Reclamation and OH&S.

Our organization maintains a SECOR certification.
