Lease Construction
SmithIron Earthworks has provided services to the oil industry in Central Alberta for decades. When Ron started the company in 1978, lease construction in West Central Alberta was the bulk of our business.
Times have changed, as have the companies we work for and while we have diversified over the years, lease construction remains a key component of our business operations. We are happy to say that this service now extends throughout Central Alberta. We look forward to continuing to serve both old and new customers in the decades to come!
Oilfield Reclamation
As the oil industry has modernized, oilfield reclamation work has become a key component of what we do. From removing contaminated dirt to reshaping and reseeding the landscape, we have the experience and know how to remediate your site.
Road Building
SmithIron Earthworks provides road building skill and expertise to both private and public entities throughout Central Alberta.
Recent projects include the NE Lagoon Improvements for the Town of Rimbey and RR20 Low Level Drainage project for Red Deer County.
Whether it be a grain pad, private approach/building site, or reconstruction of stretches of road, we have the expertise and equipment to get your project done.
Commercial Development
In recent years, SmithIron has diversified into more private development projects.
SmithIron was pleased to provide site preparation services for the McKinnon Commercial subdivision in Eckville, Alberta.
SmithIron also completed the construction of the Blueberry Springs Residential Acreage development northwest of Leslieville, Alberta.
